Income Tax Elimination Plan
(idea under review)
By Daryl L. Hunter

Today our annual National budget is roughly about 2 trillion dollars and only about a third of that about 700 billion dollars comes from income taxation of private citizens. The rest comes from corporate income tax, tariffs etc.

400 billion dollars of our annual budget is spent on paying the interest on our national debt. Our national debt provides us nothing but a black hole to throw our tax dollars into, a black hole that our politicians are quite fond of maintaining as it is a convenient source for unbudgeted expenditure.

By paying off the national debt and eliminating spending on our wasteful government social programs income tax could be eliminated all together. In times of national emergency temporary taxes with mandatory sunset clauses could be temporarily implemented.

If this plan is implemented along with my other utopian ideas our country may escape the fate of all the great democracies of history.
